I grew up in Montreal. I started my first business at 12, mowing lawns in my area. I grew it so much that when school started I had to hire some of my friends to help out. Over time, I sold the contracts to other landscaping companies.
I love robotics and filmmaking. I was 8 years old when I wrote my first computer program, in VPL, for a Lego Mindstorms robot. It took me 11 years in robotics to win a competition. It was exciting since it was the first time the team has ever won.
I've been an actor since 2007, most recently in Unabomber on Netflix.
I went to the University of Waterloo for math. I couldn't see myself doing anything else. It was fun. I did five internships and thought I wanted to work in data science. Gradient descent turned out to be pretty important.
After I graduated, I was hired as an AI lead at Valsoft, where I built their first corporate AI initiative, TDO AI Reports, which is now Marea. Then I built Claio and what is now Viova.
Now I'm building Alido, the greatest franchise operator in the world. Starting with window coverings, we're going to bring down the cost for consumers and enable the scaling of home services businesses to levels that were never before possible.
